The lunch set we had was SO GOOD! They have an English menu. Well-priced, full meal. The dessert (raspberry red velvet cake) we had was as delicious. I imagine it’s gonna be hard to find a seat in peak season, it’s a pretty small restaurant.

Very small place nearby the famous golden Kinkaku-ji. While we found Kinkaku-ji a bit underwhelming, this place definitely provided us with a tasty experience. We tried the curry udon and egg udon and took some swiss rolls with us for an afternoon snack. Highly recommend to visit this place if you're looking for a place to eat nearby Kinkaku-ji!

After visiting Kinkaku-ji, we were looking for a nearby place to eat with the kids and were really craving ramen. We found this small spot right by the bus stop where we got off. It was run by a very kind woman who seemed to handle everything on her own. The food was absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed the cozy, authentic feel of the place. The main downside was that it was very hot inside—it felt like the air conditioning wasn’t on, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Still, the great food and warm hospitality made up for it. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area!

Really good place for lunch when going to the Golden Temple. Had a group of four and they were about to close but kept it open for us which we appreciated. Amazing food!

Food is very reasonably priced and of a high standard. It’s a small restaurant so you might have to wait for a seat. Little English is spoken but the menu has pictures and English writing.

I -love- this place! I was the only customer on a cold and rainy day, and ordered hot green tea and egg udon. It was simple and delicious and exactly what I needed. The owners were very lovely people, friendly and kind. I was starving and ate the whole set at once; they applauded when I finished which made all of us laugh. I only know a couple Japanese phrases, and they didn’t speak much English, but they made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I hope they know how happy they made me in return. Definitely visit!!!!
